Liverpool ONE
As Liverpool celebrates its Capital of Culture year, a fabulous new shopping and leisure district is being unveiled at the heart of the city centre. The size of 28 full-size football pitches, Liverpool One is set to bring the best in fashion, home and leisure to the city when it opens in Spring 2008.
Liverpool ONE includes 160 exciting new shops, cafes and restaurants overlooking the stunning Chavasse Park, two new hotels, a 14-screen Odeon cinema and more than 600 stylish apartments.
Just some of the exciting new stores opening in what will be a transformed shopping destination include American Apparel, the must-have fashion brand's first shop outside of London, Urban Outfitters, Flannels, Republic and Esprit alongside USC and Puma.
Liverpool ONE is also home to the North West's largest John Lewis store and Liverpool's first ever Debenhams. Shoppers will be able to find a number of independent retailers, which will help boost Liverpool's unique and individual fashion offer.
The opening of Liverpool ONE will enhance Liverpool's thriving social scene with the addition of excellent new bars and eateries, many offering outdoor terraces and great views of the city. Liverpool ONE has also attracted names to in the city which include seafood specialist Loch Fyne, Japanese-style restaurant Wagamama and Italian pizzeria Zizzi.
Chavasse Park, a 'green oasis in the city centre', will be a great place to stroll, relax and escape the city centre's hustle and bustle, providing impressive views of the waterfront and the rest of Liverpool ONE. The perfectly manicured green space has been created on the roof of a new 3,000-space underground car park.
Soon to become Liverpool's most fashionable new area of town, Liverpool ONE combines the city's unique heritage and existing streets with contemporary buildings, many designed by internationally renowned architects such as Pelli Clarke, famed for his Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur.
