14:00 Tate Liverpool or Merseyside Maritime Museum
Home of the National Collection of Modern Art in the north, Tate Liverpool presents national and international exhibitions of contemporary art in beautiful light filled galleries. They also offer a wide range of special events and talks to accompany the collections.
Depending on the interests of your group, some may prefer a visit to the Merseyside Maritime Museum. This also located on the Albert Dock, only a one minute walk from Tate Liverpool. Visitors can explore the large and varied collections that reflect the seafaring importance of Liverpool as a gateway to the world.
15:30 The Yellow Duckmarine
This fun amphibious tour must be the most unique way to explore the city centre! The hour long tour is half on land, and half in the water, taking in the city’s historical sights and maritime history.
Evening
Liverpool has a wide range of performance venues, each offering a varied programme of events. The Liverpool Philharmonic Hall is home to the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and their charismatic Chief Conductor, Vasily Petrenko, whilst the Liverpool Empire and Echo Arena is hosts large scale west end productions and international music artists.
The Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse theatres host inventive new productions and classic dramas including Antony and Cleopatra starring Kim Cattrell, Macbeth with Liverpool’s own David Morrisey and King Lear with the late, great Pete Postlewaite.

One of the most famous half timbered houses in Britain, dating from the 15th Century. Roof tours, and Victorian and Tudor costumed tours really bring the house and gardens alive. There’s plenty of free coach parking, and as with all National Trust properties, a cracking tearoom and gift shop.
